About the Tigers
In October 2008 Swanscombe Tigers FC were awarded by the Kent County FA the very prestigeous award of Charter Standard Club of The Year 2008 for which we are very proud, and is a reflection of the hard work carried out by many involved with the club.
In March 2005 we were awarded the Sports Club of the Year Award by Dartford Borough Council, as well, one of our coaches Terry Uings received a Highly Commended Award. He has since gone on to win the KCFA Coach of the Year.
On the pitch we have had a very successful season competing in four cup finals and winning three as well as having two League Champions and one runners up.

The club has been awarded, as a result of the efforts of its Football Development Officer Terry Uings, the prestigious Football Association Charter Mark award at both Junior and Senior levels. This award is a recognition of the Club’s commitment to providing football in a safe and positive environment for boys and girls within the local community.
We are delighted that the Club has received this award and believe that this can really help us in achieving the Club’s ultimate aim of having it’s own base within the local area. We are now looking to further strengthen our links within the local community and are also actively looking to set up our own ladies section.
Swanscombe is a town that is proud of its independence but is recently being 'discovered' as developments such as the Bluewater Centre and the Ebbsfleet Channel Tunnel Development begin to affect the local environment. Now more than ever we need to reflect the needs and aspirations of local people in a number of ways.
This web site reflects a thriving community in Swanscombe and Greenhithe, as shown by a welcoming, successful, ambitious and locally rooted football club beginning to be recognised as a major contributor to the attractiveness of the area.
